Swimming Team

Northern Counties Flying Squadron Championship Winners in 1901 and 1903

Swimmers are now developing athletic abilities in their chosen sport, strokes and techniques will continue to be developed, however the intensity of the training becomes more difficult - this increase in difficulty can either be by the pace of the swim, the distance of the swim or a combination of both as the athlete develops.

The training is evolved around the 200 IM so as the swimmer can develop all 4 strokes and train and compete in all 4. As swimmers grow and they develop physically this changes their natural ability and personal preference towards certain strokes and distances, so at this still early stage of the swimmers journey all strokes are still trained, taught and coached.

Swimmers in this group are encouraged to attend Squad training to increase their water time
